Prima Vista
Prima Vista helps
- to learn singing at first sight (prima vista),
- to learn to hear a tune and to write it down.
The idea is that the user sees a computer invented melody, and sings that melody. As a hint, he gets the first note, the base tone, or a chord. The device can play the melody to check the performance.
The program can also be used to learn to hear a melody. In this mode, the program invents a tune and plays it. The user must write down the tune, given the first note. He can use the touchscreen to enter the notes.
Options include
- the voice (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) and its compass (narrow, normal, wide),
- the key or a random key for a given number of accidentals,
- the instrument (violin, french horn),
- the playing speed,
- rhythm and melody, rhythm only, or melody only,
- length of the melody,
- width of the tune.
The documentation is included in the program in English and German language.
The program is available in the Android market for 1€.
